Mike Smith

 

Mike started his musical career with The Rifle Brigade Military Band who marched at the Queen's coronation in 1953.  He played on stage with The Ted Heath Band for the Royal Command Performance at the London Palladium.  Since then he has toured with Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Matt Munro and Sammy Davis Jnr.

In the 1960's, Mike formed his own band playing for many broadcasts on BBC Radio 2.
