Drums
Mark Salisbury
Mark began drumming at the age of 7, and by his teenage years he was playing many styles of music including orchestral, jazz, funk, latin and thrash metal.
During this time he also played with Don Lusher, Kenny Baker, John Surman and members of Procul Harum. He played at many well-known venues including Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
He has had numerous television and radio appearances, including Blue Peter in 1996 and This Morning with Bob Holness in 1997.
In 1999 he won the Best Improvisation Award from the National of Festival of Music for Youth with the group The Jazz Quartet [this is actually what we called ourselves] and performed at the Duke Ellington centenary celebration.
Following University Mark began the progressive rave-jazz-funk-fusion trio The Electric Pi with Nick Peck and Steve Bridgland.
